The Wadi al-Joz association was founded in 2007 by a small group of young Palestinians from this neighborhood, in order to improve living conditions in Wadi Al-Joz. The association works to improve the essential services received from municipal and/or governmental authorities, and towards the development and implementation of community-educational activities for neighborhood residents (children, women and adults).
 
The association's activity for the establishment of civil neighbourhood infrastructure is represented  by the taking of responsibility by the younger generations in the neighborhood. The Wadi al-Joz Association is a non-profit organization whose members and activists are volunteers.
