Jerusalem Moments Film Project |
The Jerusalem Moments film project started in 2007, in partnership with the Jerusalem Cinemateque. Each year, Ir Amim chooses a number of Palestinian and Israeli directors to create films addressing the reality of life in Jerusalem in the shadow of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The movies have premiered at the Jerusalem International Film Festival and have been shown throughout Israel and abroad.

Jerusalem Moments 2009
In 2009, Ir Amim decided to focus on documentaries by young directors. We chose 7 Israeli and Palestinian directors whose films by chance all focused on the realities of life for East Jerusalem residents. The project was produced by Yael Perlov and Yaariv Moser from Moser films, while Yael Perlov also served as the project's artistic director. All or some of these films appeared in international film festivals, including the Sundance Film Festival ("Bus"); Voices Forward Canada; Mostra International Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazill; Viennale Intenrational Film Festival in Vienna, and the Festival des Libertes in Brusells, among others. Jerusalem Moments 2009 was also featured on CNN. |

Jerusalem Moments 2008
In 2008, Ir Amim broadened the expanse of the project and called for documentary, narrative and experimental films that addressed Jerusalem. 10 Israeli and Palestinian directors were chosen. The selection process was done in conjunction with Ir Amim staff and professional artistic directors, including Yael Perlov, Judd Neaeman, Gal Ochovsky, Yosef Greenfeld and Yigal Borshten. This collection or parts of it were also screened in the U.S., New Zealand, and Poland. |
